"Rise" was whelped on November 12, 2009 out of Arrow's Chukar Dog and Windridge Shasta.  Rise is a nephew of True, as Shasta is True's  littermate.  Obviously, we hope for great things from Rise.  At 8-months, Rise was fairly large, and very bold.  At two Rise reached 56 pounds of solid muscle as he approached maturity.  He has always run as hard and fast as the big dogs, and he still loves to compete with them at everything.  As with many teenagers, there is no apparent end to his stamina.  The MPG rating of this young dog is incredible.

   In addition to wrestling with the others and running, Rise' is incredibly sweet and loves his humans.  His passions expanded rapidly to include birds!  He runs hard and stops hard in response to an excellent nose.  His first hunting season was excellent, although bad weather and poor timing certainly limited the opportunities for Rise to hunt.  In his second year he excelled in nearly every category, both in Idaho and Arizona. 

   Rise believes he is ready for dog trials, and reminds us of his desire each trial we attend.  However, we are not yet ready for him!  He still gets a little anxious on released birds, but nothing that a third season on wild birds won't correct.
